How to…

Add questions to track (one by one or as a list)

On the Queries page type a question and click Add query. To add many, paste a list, one per line, or import a .txt or .csv file: numbers, dashes and duplicates are removed. From the plugin, do the same in the Track questions on the AI engines box of the Search Console tab.

Updated October 2026

Tracked questions are the ones the platform asks the AI engines at every audit, to see who gets cited.

One question

On the Queries page, type the question in the box and click Add query. Pick the type: keyword (as typed into Google) or conversational (as asked to ChatGPT).

Many questions at once

  • Paste a list, one question per line: from a document, an email or Excel. As soon as there is more than one line you see a preview: how many are ready, duplicates skipped, lines too short or too long.
  • Import from a file: a .txt (one per line) or a .csv (first column; the table's own CSV export imports back as is).
  • Up to 200 at a time. The type you pick applies to the whole list.

From the WordPress plugin

In the plugin's Search Console tab there is the Track questions on the AI engines box: paste the list and click Track these questions. On the questions coming from Google there is also Track all in the AI engines.

Plan slots

Each plan has a number of tracked questions. If the list is longer than the free slots, the ones that fit are added and the rest stay in the box, with a note saying how many did not fit. Questions already tracked are not duplicated.

When do I see results?

New questions appear at once as waiting and are measured at the next audit. For a single question you can use Measure now.

CiteProof tracks your brand's visibility across AI answer engines and tells you what to change to get cited.
