The fact sheet and the /ai-info page

The fact sheet is the truth about the business: name, type, address, phone, founding year, people, services, numbers. The plugin compares the site with it, aligns the Organization schema and publishes it at /ai-info; the dashboard uses it to catch wrong facts in AI answers.

Updated September 2026

AI engines get your brand wrong when they find different versions of the same fact around: an old phone in the footer, a different founding year on the About page, an address changed only in the schema. The fact sheet closes those gaps.

The plugin's Brand tab: site consistency, About page, /ai-info

One sheet

You fill it in once, in the dashboard (Brand) or in the plugin (Citeproof → Brand): name and aliases, legal name, business type, description, founding year, founders and people, address, phone, email, services with prices, numbers with their date, official profiles, Wikidata id, areas served, languages, notes for the engines. The two copies stay equal: whoever saves last updates the other.

Site consistency with the sheet

The plugin reads the schema settings, the main location, About, Contacts and Where we are, and flags every discrepancy: where it found it, what is written, what the sheet says, what to do. Scan now repeats the check; Align entity to the sheet rewrites the schema settings with the sheet's values, so the Organization printed on every page says the same thing.

The About page

The middle column scores the About page: names the business exactly, states the founding year, names at least one person, says where it is, lists the main services, carries the sheet's phone or email, has at least 150 words, contains the sheet's description sentence, has the AboutPage schema. If the page is missing, the guided first run drafts one from the sheet.

/ai-info

With the switch on, the plugin publishes /ai-info: a page with the sheet's facts, readable by people and crawlers, with the Organization schema and a Markdown version (?format=md). A discreet footer link makes it reachable. It is the honest version of the "page for AI": no engine has announced it looks for it, but it is indexable and citable like any page. Documents published from the dashboard (overview, how it works, pricing, team) appear under /ai-info/.

What the dashboard does with the sheet

After every audit, the answers to questions carrying your name are compared with the sheet: every wrong fact shows on the dashboard's Brand page, with the engine that said it and the source it cited. The number of open facts is also in the plugin's Overview.

What if I change the phone number?

Change it in the sheet, then press Align entity to the sheet: the schema updates. The scan tells you on which pages the old number is still written in the text, and those you fix yourself.

Do I need the Wikidata id?

No, but it helps: if the business has a Wikidata entry, its id (Q123…) goes into the schema as sameAs and identifier. The dashboard's 'How the engines see you' check finds it on its own when it exists.

CiteProof tracks your brand's visibility across AI answer engines and tells you what to change to get cited.
