Broken Links Finder

The Broken Links Finder scans your home and a sample of internal pages, checks the HTTP status of each link and flags broken ones (4xx/5xx) and problematic redirects (overly long chains). With email you get a downloadable report.

Updated June 2026

Broken links hurt the experience and trust: for users and for the engines that evaluate your site.

The Broken Links Finder tool

What you enter

The home page URL.

What you get

  • A score (0-100).
  • How many links were found and checked.
  • The number of broken links (4xx/5xx errors) and problematic redirects (redirect chains that are too long).
  • By providing your email, you receive a downloadable report (PDF/CSV) sent in the background.

How to use it well

Run it periodically: links break over time (pages move, external sites close). Fix broken internal links and chained redirects first.

Limits

To stay fast and free, it scans the home plus a sample of internal pages, not the entire site. For a full, recurring crawl you'll want dedicated tools.

Does it scan the whole site?

No: to stay fast it checks the home and a sample of internal links. It gives you a reliable picture of link health without an exhaustive crawl.
