Shopify app

Collections: where to start, mini guide and FAQ

The app scores every collection and ranks them by effect: low score and high demand come first. For each collection it writes an intro text and a mini guide with buying criteria, 'ideal for' and frequently asked questions, from its products only, and applies it in one click, with Undo.

Which category to start from

The Categories section ranks collections by effect: how much the page lacks (score) and how much demand there is (from tracked questions and, when connected, Search Console). The formula is printed above the list. The first in the list is where to start.

What it scores

Text that helps choose, empty or duplicate pages (doorways), uncategorised products, title and meta description, FAQ. Every collection lists its issues with the button that fixes them.

The mini guide

Write the mini guide produces, from the collection's products only:

  • two or three intro sentences, above the product grid;
  • below the grid, the buying criteria, models compared, "ideal for" and frequently asked questions, with FAQPage schema.

Prices, brands and variants are read from the product pages. The app does not compute price differences and adds no opinions: if a question finds no answer in the data, it is not written. When something does not add up, the proposal carries a review note before applying.

Apply and undo

Apply writes the text into the collection description in Shopify; the previous text stays saved and Undo restores it. The proposed title and meta description apply from the same box.

Publishing the guide as an article

From the same collection, Write the article turns the guide into a store blog article linked to the collection. See the article on pages, policies and articles.
