With the AI connector, Claude reads your account's real data and answers you: no need to open the dashboard to know how you are doing.
Connect it to Claude
- In Claude open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Paste https://citeproof.co/api/mcp (also shown in the dashboard under Settings → AI connector).
- Sign in with your account and click Allow.
What you can ask
- How is my site doing in AI answers? — score, questions cited, gained and lost.
- Which questions does my competitor win? — head to head and the pages cited instead of yours.
- Why doesn't ChatGPT cite me on this question? — the reason and the page to fix.
- What should I do this week? — a short, ordered list.
- Which pages are losing clicks on Google? — from the page-by-page diagnosis.
- Track these questions: … — Claude asks for confirmation and adds them, with the same slots as the dashboard.
Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor
In Settings → AI connector click Create token: you see it once, with the command ready to paste in the terminal. The token gives access to your account: do not share it.
Security
- Claude only sees your account's sites (and the team sites you have access to).
- It cannot touch payments, passwords or settings.
- Disconnect an app or a token any time from Settings → AI connector.
Does it work with ChatGPT or other assistants?
It works with MCP-compatible assistants (Model Context Protocol), such as Claude, Cursor and others. The address is the same.
Does the connector use quotas?
Reading data uses nothing. Adding questions uses the plan's slots, as in the dashboard.
