Queries is where you see what the AI engines actually say when someone asks a question in your field. Every row is a question tracked at each audit; every engine is ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI or Claude, depending on your plan.
The top of the page
- Monthly audits: how many audits you used this month and when the count resets. Re-run audit now starts a new one; Export tracker CSV downloads one row per question and engine of the latest audit (cited, mention, sentiment, position, answer format, cited sources, evidence).
- Question settings: how many questions are in use on this site and how many the AI generates at each audit. Folded on one line because you rarely need to change it.
- Queries suggested from Google (with Search Console connected): real searches you already appear for but do not track yet. Add puts them in the list.
- Quick wins: questions where you are on Google's first page but absent from the AI answers. The fastest gaps to close.
The list of questions
The header says how many questions you track and how many were cited at least once. Each row shows the type (Keyword or Conversational), the history, the engines that cite you, Google's position (with Search Console connected) and the AI Score.
A question you just added shows Waiting for the next audit. To add questions, one by one or as a list, see Add questions to track.
Filters
- Mention status: All, Cited only, Never cited.
- AI engine: All LLMs or a single engine. Engines your plan does not include show a lock.
- Origin: All, Manual (added by you), Auto (generated by the AI).
The Search queries box finds a question by its text.
One question, engine by engine
Click a row to open it. The Per-platform · latest audit section has one line per engine:
- Cited or Not cited in the latest audit, with the small history and the trend.
- Cited sources: the domains that engine cited in its answer. Each one carries a label: your site (green), the competitor's name (red, cited instead of you) or the kind of source (wiki, reviews, directory, social, marketplace, news). Only your confirmed competitors are labelled as such.
Claude has its own line: it says whether Claude recognizes your brand, because Claude answers from what it learned, not from a live search.
Further down, Snippet evidence shows the passage of each answer and Movement over time draws how many engines cited you audit after audit, with the articles, structured data and fixes you applied marked on the line.
Read the answer
On every engine line, Read the answer opens the full text that engine gave, with the audit date. Your brand is highlighted in violet, your confirmed competitors in coral. Under the text, Links cited in the answer lists the URLs the engine used. Copy copies the whole answer.
If the audit did not keep the full text, the window says so.
Why they don't cite you
When the latest audit found no engine citing you on a question, the detail opens with Why they don't cite you: one reason in plain words and the button that fixes it.
| What it says | The button |
|---|---|
| The engines cite a competitor's page, not yours | Open the winning page, then write a better answer |
| You have the page, but it is weak for the AI engines | Open the page in the editor: the CiteProof box drafts the short answer and the FAQ |
| You have the page, but no AI crawler read it in 30 days | Open the plugin: send it to IndexNow, put it in llms.txt, check robots.txt |
| You have the page, but it does not answer directly | Open the page in the editor |
| You have no page that answers | Generate article, with the Content Agent |
The fixes on the site itself are in Applying fixes.
Measure now and the row actions
At the end of each row:
- Measure now (gauge icon) asks the engines that question right away, without using an audit. The result becomes the row's latest point with the One-off measurement badge, until the next audit updates it. At most 40 a day per site.
- Pause / Play (only on questions you added) stops or resumes testing at the next audits. A paused question keeps its slot.
- Delete removes the question and its whole history, for good.
Export CSV in the toolbar downloads the list: question, type, audits tested, audits cited, latest Google position, AI mention score, latest Google volume, trend.
Why does an engine have a lock?
Your plan does not include that engine. In the detail of a question, the engine line shows which plan unlocks it.
Does Measure now use one of my monthly audits?
No. It asks the engines that single question and saves the result on the row. It has its own limit: at most 40 measurements a day per site.
Why don't I see Why they don't cite you on every question?
It only appears when the latest audit found no engine citing you on that question. If at least one engine cites you, the detail shows the engines and their sources instead.
Why is the Google position empty?
The Google position comes from Search Console. Connect it to the site and the column fills in with the average position of the last 28 days.
